There is no need to be rude to the original author. If you do not wish
to answer his question, then simply fail to respond. Although one
would hope that someone earning an MD would be able to conduct his or
her own library research, everybody has different areas which they
find difficult.
Perhaps the author is trying to answer and exam question, perhaps the
author is merely curious (curiosity is not unknown in those who seek
advanced degrees.) The questions are certainly not simple...
