Does anyone know of any method of getting plasmids into Aeromonas hydrophila
or salmonicida other than by conjugation?
I have tried electroporation using electorcompetent cells made by the E.
coli method (Sambrook) and by the method described by Smith and Iglewski for
Pseudomonas without success. The cells remain viable but I cant get the
plasmids in.
I have also tried the Magnesium Chloride transformation method for
Pseudomonas described by Olsen wothout success.
