Several people asked me to mention it on the group(s) when my articles
on the work of Beijerinck's sister came out. The first (and shortest) is
now out (the others are still trying to escape my text editor) in the
September issue of Trends in Microbiology vol 6, p.353. The figs are in
colour, so I can't provide reprints.
Many thanks to those who helped me identify the modern identities of a
couple of the antique bacterial names.
