Dear Colleagues;
I am curious if anyone is aware of a procedure for quantifying the
DNA (or total nucleic acid) in individual bacterial cells that does not
make use of radiosiotopes or flow cytometers. For example, can it be done
microscopically (electron microscopically) using particular fluorescent
dyes? Any other suggestions?
