Department of Environmental Science and Engineering,
Kwangju Institute of Science and Technology,

proposes an unique graduate study opportunities for M.S. and
Ph.D.degrees
in Environmental Science and Engineering , for example :
- rapid identification of bacteria in water and waste water ;
- microbiological monitoring of water and waste water treatment
systems;
- microbiological monitoring and bioremediation of polluted soils.
Academic Semesters :
* Spring Semester : March 1 - August 31
* Fall Semester : September 1 - February 28
Application Deadlines
* April 15 for Fall Semester
* October 15 for Spring Semester
Upon request, applications received after the deadline may be considered
for the following semester.
Financial Benefits:
reimbursement of one-way economy class airfare to Kwangju, free
tuition, free dormitory housing, monthly stipend of approximately
293,000 won and additional research assistantships available .The
benefits above are for international students and will be adequate to
study at K-JIST without an off-campus job.
