I need advice on sample preparation of bacteria for scanning electron
microscopy. I have been growing p.denitrificans on carbon sem stubs as
biofilms. I would like to view how the bacteria colonize the stubs.
I have had one try where I simply dried the stubs at room temp prior to
observation. The images were poor and became charged very quickly.
Is coating of the specimen my only option?
