"Emerging Viruses: AIDS and Ebola", by Leonard Horowitz.

There are some interesting mysteries- how Ebola struck
simultaneously in two locations,
600 miles apart. How a search
for a "natural reservoir" failed
to yield one. How Russian biowar
scientists were experimenting
with Marburg virus. How an
attack of Ebola virus appeared to
help make the dictator Mobutu
tow the line, when he was
switching political loyalties.

The human angle is more troubling
than the virus, itself.
