That makes sense. The main thing is to think of the clinical
significance--that is, at least to microbiology Medical Technologists. From an
environmental view point many microorganisms might be there, but injured
therefore non-culturable or not culturable for some other reason e.g.,
Nitrobacter and Nitromonas.
