Does anyone know anything about the process of heat-inactivating serum
complement by incubating at 60oC for 30 min. Specifically I'd like to know
whether this step should prevent C3 binding to bacterial surfaces or does
the inactivation occur by affecting a different step in the complement
pathway ?
Thanks in advance
Iain
