I'm looking for a cheap and reliable assay to determine whether some E. coli
O157:H7 strains I have are producing SLT I and, or SLT II. At this stage I'm
not looking for a functional assay, just something to say whether these
toxins are present or not in brain heart broth culture supernatant in which
the organism actively grew for a period of 4-5 hrs. Any advice would be
gratefully received.
