I am looking for an assay for mucinase production by bacteria. Preferably a
plate assay (e.g. NA + mucin). We have tried such assays, which are
supposed to be routine and simple, but even after trying several coagulants,
are unable to see zones of hydrolysis, even with know mucinase producers.
Help please.
