I'm mainly involved in studying nitroaromatic catabolism, so I'm not quite
sure if these references are what you're after (I haven't got access to most
of these journals ). I'm just pasting stuff straight out of a lit search on 
keywords "bioremediation+petroleum" for years 1994-1997.

In addition, for pathway-specific articles, look up papers by P. A. Williams,
V. deLorenzo, K. N. Timmis, J. L. Ramos, V. Shingler, S. Harayama, J. C.
Spain, L. N. Orston ( and more ). You can find excellent reviews by any of
these authors and is probably the best route to go by.
