I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this, but it seemed
appropriate. I will be graduating from high school in May, and attending
the University of Arizona with a major in microbiology starting this
fall. At this point, I am unclear as to which direction I should take.
I am thinking about using that degree to pursue a career in research
and/or forensic science. Right now, I am trying to get as much experience
as I can. What direction should I pursue? Is it possible, at my
educational level, to get a job at local laboratories, even if it is
filling out paperwork or cleaning equipment?
Do any of you have any advice for a future microbiology major? Any
insight into the science, careers, or any pathways to take, please email
me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
