Dear Davin,
The problem with the Vitek is the database is only focused on clinical
organism. If you bugs is not the 200 or microbes in there database it does
not even look for it. That is find and good if you are in a hospital but
what if your looking at an enviromental isolate ? BIOLOG and MIDI dB's
are well over 1100 organisms. Vitek does offer a validation kit. Biolog
has one due in March 97 and I do not know about MIDI.
