Can anyone suggest an inert membrane for the filtration of plasma samples
containing variable levels of protein precipitate (eg denatured protein)
and/or microorganisms.
I am having problems reproducibly filtering these samples using 0.45
polypropylene filter. Some are OK but others block. It is a particular
problem if the plasma is buffered at high or low pH .. which causes
precipitation. I would prefer to avoid a centrifugation step.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
