I am seeking information about Anaerovibrio spp. I think we have isolated
one from a deep wound/abscess, but this one is not lipolytic. (The only
species we know of in the genus is described as lipolytic). Has anyone
found this anywhere other than in the rumen of sheep/cattle as described
in the literature?
This bug does a huge propionic acid peak as well as acetic acid on gas
chromatography, it is motile with a single polar flagellum, nitrate pos.
Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
