Tertiary treated waste water is being proposed for injection into an
aquifer in the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys of Los Angeles County.
What might be some of the water-borne pathogens to be present in such waters?
Can such waters be sufficiently treated to assure that the highest drinking
water standards will be met. That is, within economic constraints that
would, for instance, rule out distilling the water.
