CA-Senior Microbiologist
Central California food manufacturing/processing company has an immediate
opening for a Senior Microbiologist. This position is responsible for
assisting the Q.A. Manager and Plant Sanitarian by proving microbiological
data samples to allow management to be proactive.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee the plant microbiological testing program, working with other
managers when developing new testing frequencies.
Prepare and examine raw materials. in-process, finished product and
environmental samples for testing.
Coordinate samples for outside laboratory testing.
Analyze results of findings.
Work with site coordinator to set up and maintain the microbiological data
tracking system .
Manage the data base for holding and releasing 11 finished products
manufactured and held for microbiological testing.
Responsible for all micro biological training in the department.
Qualified candidates must have a Masters Degree in Microbiology with
undergraduate degree in Food
Science, Technical Science, Dairy Science or related discipline. Work
experience should include 3-5 years in a micro biological laboratory in
a food manufacturing/processing environment Frozen food background would
