I have been trying to identify several soil isolates capable of degrading
phosphonate herbicides. 16s ribosomal gene sequencing and use of BIOLOG
has identified one strain as Ochrobactrum anthropi but with similarities below
significance. I have not been able to turn up any information regarding
Ochrobactrum in Bergey's or using several WWW search engines. Is this a "new"
genus or recently renamed? Any responses are appreciated as are responses to myemail address. Thank you
