Applications are invited for the following posts. Applicants should have
an
upper second class degree or above in Microbiology, Food
Science/Technology
or related subject.
Research Assistant:
Modelling effect of modified atmosphere packaging on microbial
growth/survival.
Appointment will be on a one year renewable basis to a maximum of three
years. RA will be expected to register for a higher degree.
Salary L9,213-L12,756 p.a.
Research Studentships:
1. Bacterial contamination of surfaces and the survival and growth of
pathogens in microbial biofilms associated with food production
2. Mechanisms of death and recovery of microorganisms following the
application of combined food preservation treatments
Appointments will be on a one year renewable basis subject to
satisfactory
progess. Students will register for a higher degree.
Bursary: L5000 p.a.
