Microbial Phys. Textbook??

As a book for myself I like Mandelstam, McQuillen and Dawes
"Biochemistry of Bacterial Growth", published by Blackwell.  This might
be a bit challenging, but if the students have had biochemistry they
should be able to handle it.  On the other hand I don't know if there is
a recent edition, mine is 1986 (ouch, am I that old?).
