I do completely agree with what you are saying on verifying the
diagnosis of Escherichia coli, incl. control of test-situation.
I just want to take the occasion to clarify that the bacteria,
you use to exemplify some troublesome differential-diagnostics,
since a couple of years have the validated names of Burkholderia
cepacia (1993) and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (1993).
