Does anyone know if the genera of soil bacteria that have fatty and/or waxy
cell walls can be selectively enriched in situ by feeding fatty acids or any
other nutrients or wall precursors ? Any recent references to the ecology
or physiology of these types of organisms would also be appreciated.
