Hmmmm....have you tried growing the bugs on Cetrimide agar? This is only
supposed to grow P. aeruginosa, but it may help induce pigment
production.
MIDI will test your bugs for you using the GC method...not sure how much
they'll charge, but may do it for free as long as you let them incorporate
the chromatogram into their data base.
Also may want to consult Bergey's Manual. I'm not sure if you consulted
it from your previous post.
