Does anyone have any suggestions (besides a negative
stain, which we have tried) for a relatively simple
method for telling whether cells are surrounded by
a polysaccharide layer?
Our negative stain was inconclusive, and any advice
for positive stains would be especially useful. We
would like to keep the procedure relatively simple,
but will expand our search into more complicated
techniques, if they will work.
