I would appreciate your advise on my cDNA clone.
I am studying senescence-induced genes of plants. One of my clone show
significant similarity to the glpE protein. The gene is induced by
dark-treatment when the respiration is enhanced. The gene is also induced
during plant senescence when hydrolysis of macromolecules such as fatty
acids is occuring.
If you would let me know what the function of the glpE is, that will be a
great help for me to understand my gene product.
