I would appreciate your advise on my cDNA clone.
I am studying senescence-induced genes of plants. One of my clone shows
significant similarity to the bacterial glpE and pspE protein. The gene is
induced by dark-treatment which enhances respiration. The gene is also
induced during plant senescence when hydrolysis of macromolecules such as
fatty acids is occuring.
If someone would let me know what the function of the glpE or pspE is, that
will be a great help for me to understand my gene product.
