Separating the liquid from agar plates?

a I have incorporated a liquid sample into agar plates at a
concentration of 50%. I want to now extract this liquid sample
from the agar to do further testing. Does anyone know how to
separate the liquid portion of the agar plates from the agar?
Filtering has been unsuccessful. I have tried melting the agar
in the microwave and then centrifuging at 10,000 rpm (12,000 g).
I have tried centrifuging for 5' at 40 degrees C, 15' at 40
degrees C, and 5' at 20 degrees C. At the higher temperature,
a small pellet did form after 15' of centrifuging, but it was
not totally separated out. I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thank you in advance.
