RESEARCH ASSISTANT/ TECHNICIAN POSITION AT U of CALGARY
A position as a research assistant is available more or less
immediately in the lab of Michael Hynes, Department of Biological
Sciences, University of Calgary. The work will involve cloning and
characterising Rhizobial genes important to the succesful colonisation
of the legume rhizosphere, with particular emphasis on bacteriocin
production. Miminum qualifications: B.Sc. in Microbiology or a related
field, lab experience, and technical expertise in molecular genetics.
Salary ca. $ 21,000 per year, position renewable for up to three years,
contingent upon renewal of funding. A part time position could also be
