C. sporogenes will grow fairly well on trypticase soy agar or blood agar
under anaerobic conditions. Streaked or swabbed plates should be grown in
an anaerobic jar or anaerobic incubator at 30-35 degrees C for 5-7 days.
Avoid the use of agar with neutralizers as they will inhibit the growth of
this organism.
