But Simon, every microorganism known to afflict Bufo marinus will also
afflict native anurans. In fact Bufo marinus is so very resilent you are
apt to infect native forms and marinus will continue to thrive unscathed.
Any microbial answer you decide on for this problem should be tested
in the laboratory for several years. I cant help but feel you will be
dissapointed.
Payment of bounties for rattlesnakes in the US has resulted in the
extirpation of many populations. It is a system that in practice and
theory has worked without risk to other species.
