Post-Doctoral Position
A position is available 1 September 1995 to investigate carbohydrate
utilization and transport by anaerobic thermophilic bacteria. This is a
federally funded project with the objective of elucidating regulatory
mechanisms used by thermophiles which degrade biomass and produce
ethanol. The position entails independent study using molecular and
biochemical approaches and experience with recombinant nucleic acid
techniques, biochemical characterization, and protein purification is
required.
