I hear that there is currently some sort of flu outbreak in
Western Australia --They call it the Texas (???] flu. I
wonder if anyone knows if that originated in the US and
moved on to Australia, if it will come to the US next fall,
and why the name Texas flu. I hear that it is quite a
nasty bug and I am curious about it. My knowledge about
influenza epidemiology is almost nil--limited to reading one
book about the great flu of 1917, and some general virology.
Any authorities on this out there in cyberland??
