Organic Sulphurous volatiles

I work with polymers and on blending different types a sulphurous
odour is often noticed. The odour appears to be a type of
mercaptan. It may be from the degradation of the microbicide
5-chlor-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one with reducing agents. The
question is how can I confirm this and identify the odour? Is
GC/Mass spec. a viable option? And what conditions would I need?

Yoour ideas and support are awaited in anticipation.
Thanks , MIKE
