I am trying to find a reference for a procedure to drop an Optichin
disc on the initial inoculum of a sputum culture. Has anyone done this in
their laboratory? I am considering applying it on the second quadrant and
if any inhibition is noted we would then need to pick several of the alpha
colonies to confirm. I thought I read this some years ago but I have
looked in several books and don't seem to find anything. It would be nice
to have a reference. Thank you.
