Light microscopy film suggestions

I would like 35 mm film and processing suggestions for the following:

1.  Phase constrast microscopy of bacteria using black and white negative film.
   Kodak Technical Pan, or
   Kodak T-Max 100, or other?

2.  Stained bacteria using color transparencies (slides).
   Kodak Ektachrome 64T, or other?
