Q: Klett unit conversion to absorbance?

1) Is the conversion factor of 500 Klett units/1.0 absorbance units
correct?

2) Shouldn't a paper which reports bacterial cell density in Klett
units also mention the wavelength used for the measurement or is
there a standard "Klett" wavelength? 

I'm digging through an old paper which doesn't mention either the
wavelengths or the filters used in taking Klett measurements.
