I use 100% DMSO as a sample solvent for agar diffusion assays w/Saccharomyces,
Candida, and Penicillium spp. It doesn't touch them (no inhibition zones). In
liquid dilution assays I can get by with as much as 10% DMSO. I also use 8.75%
DMSO to preserve yeast cultures (in media) at -80 C. Sorry!

>>Greetings,
Can anyone help with references regarding the anti-fungal properities of
DMSO?? Is there any data out there that supports its use as an anti-fungal
and if so are there any reported MIC values??

Thank-you,
