I am planning to inject spores of Bacillus subtilis into rabbits
to get a serum that hopefully will not react against vegetative forms.
I need to inactivate totally the spores, but I wouldn't like
to denature them too much.
Can anybody help?
What is the best inactivation protocol that will kill the spores
without denaturing too much the coat?
Is UV advisable (at what wave length)? Or irradiation?
