Hello Netters:
Could anyone be able to supply me information about poly
lactic acid fermentations? I beleive these are Pseudomonas
fermentations where the poly lactic acid serves as an intra
cellular energy reserve material. Interestingly these poly
lactic acids are also used in manufacture of biodegradable
plastics - and thsi is the subject that I am trying to find
the information on.
Does anybody have any idea about fermentation
conditions, microorganisms used (Alcaligenes is another bug
that is used for this purpose I believe).
I am also interested in knowing about fermentations for getting high intensity sweetners.
Please reply to japhale at utcc.utoronto.ca
Thanks in advance.
