Latex and Viruses

My husband has published an excellent study on the use of latex condoms
for preventing transmission of HIV.It includes references to studies
about physicians becoming infected with hepatitis despite glove use.Even
the best, highest quality latex has some holes. The gloves are worth
using, as are condoms, but you should be completely informed of all
possible risk if you are betting your life on latex. The reference is
Gordon, R. (1989). A critical review of the physics and statistics of
condoms and their role in individual versus societal survival of the AIDS
epidemic. J. Sex & Marital Therapy 15(1), 5-30.
I strongly recommend reading this if you worried about transmission
through gloves or condoms of viruses particularly HIV.
