Osmoregulation of vir genes

I have written an article which briefly mentions osmoregulation of virulence
factors. A referee said that I should mention osmoregulation of vir genes of
Agrobacterium tumefaciens.

My problem is that I can't find any mention in the literature I've read which
confirms that vir genes are osmoregulated. The only mention made is on the
osmosensitivity of vir gene expression in mutant bacteria (e.g. carrying
chv mutations).

Have I missed something? Is the referee mistaken?

Thanks for any follow-up you can contribute.
