As far as I know GCG runs on DEC OpenVMS, and UNIX (OSF - Digital
UNIX, IBM AIX, SGI IRIX and SunOS). I don't see any signs of
NeXTSTEP in either the vers 8 or vers 7 manuals, but that's as far
back as we go for manuals lying around. We run NeXTSTEP/OpenSTEP on
our desktop machines and are considering Rhapsody as an upgrade
path. GCG is installed on a DEC Alpha and we use SGI's for graphics
workstations. If there is enough interest and since Rhapsody is BSD
4.4 based and supposed to be Posix compliant, who knows?
You can check out www.gcg.com/products/hardware.html for version
info. I'm sure there are some GCG folks lurking out there, and
maybe more interest in seeing GCG on Rhapsody? Ultimately though,
I'll bet it will be up to Oxford Molecular.
