Hail netters!!
We have been working for sometime trying to express a soluble protein.
Many vectors, many systems, many species of cells...no luck. We have
begun thinking of simply resynthesizing the entire gene. It's about
1500bp. In the process we plan to optimize codons, get rid of hairpins,
introduce convenient sites, alter (we hope) "mystery elements", etc. Is
there a good text/review that discusses the various considerations of
gene resynthesis? Anyone tried it?
