WebGrabber is useful for you if you have one or more of the
following cases:
a. You want download images or pics from the web, and there are more than
one file on a site (you also can do this with your browser, but you spend
much time waiting for yiour downloads to be finished).
b. You want download applications or zip-archives and so on, and there are
more than ... (see point a.)
c. Same as above, including files on HTML-Sites referred from the current
page (recursion)
d. You want download a complete HTML-Site with all reffering links, you can
also specify the depth of the files you want download
e. You want download all '*.jpg'-files or all files beginning with 'a'
(filters)
f. You want download from more then one sites simultanously
(multithreading)
g. You want download i.e. in the night, when the transferrate is higher
h. You want download at a specified time (i.e. 02:00 p.m.)
i. You want download from 06:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m. (telephone cost lower)
j. You want download from a site which requires UserID and password
k. You want download from an FTP-Server
l. You want download recursively from an FTP-Server
m. You want download from an News-Server
n. You want check if the download is correct, WebGrabber downloads the file
i.e. three times and verifies if the file are all the same.
o. If you'r download timed out, you want an automatically retry at a
specified time
p. You want download from a site which requires userid and password
Simple, with WebGrabber you can simultanously download each file from a
number of different pages at a specified time, and some of the pages can be
require UserID and password.
You have also a test-option, so that you can test the script you've been
written, an then start the real download i.e. in the early morning at
02.00 a.m.

Currently only Windows 95 and Windows NT!

UNIX, Linux, Apple, Amiga
