Greetings,
Has anyone got any recent GCG benchmarks on UNIX servers? We are looking to migrate
from our old VAX3100/90 to a UNIX (Ugh!) box, but need some information on how to
size the thing - I reckon 10x our current system on FASTA seraches is a minimum (3
doublings to get us to the mess we are now in). Anybody got any comparitive figures -
SGI v DEC alpha?
Anybody any idea which of the great selection of benchmarks is apllicable to GCG and
to FASTA/Blast seraching?
