I saw this problem with several browser on Mac and not only
with seqed. I think it could be better to save the data in a file (save
as text, not source...), then add the period/period at the beginning of
the sequence, delete what's not good in the comments, and then reformat.
Also, if your sequence is in a database, you can try to
retrieve it with SRS, which can give you a GCG file, directly
(depends of the site, probably, but it works on ours).

P.S.: I'm surprized by the fact that it make it also on a Unix
box, perhaps, you are talking about a unix box with a display on
a Mac. The problem is with the macintosh code for CR/LF in the
clipboard.
