Corruption while pasting into GCG seqed

After copying nucleotide sequence text from a web page and pasting
into the GCG seqed program (versions 7 and 8) it was found that
characters are added at the end of the sequence. Characters are also
dropped within the sequence. This occurs on both Mac and Unix platforms.

If the sequence is pasted into a text editor or word processor
it is unaffected and there are no hidden characters which might
cause corruption. The only way to get around the problem is to remove
all spaces, digits and line breaks before pasting.

If anybody else has had this problem and can offer some advice, I would
be grateful.

Thanks
