Low-end Unix hardware suggestions?

I am considering implementing GCG for our small group of users (10-15) so
that we have database searching capability in-house along with the
functional features of the package (including SeqLab).

Does anyone have suggestions for lower-end Unix hardware solutions to
implement GCG for this many users? Other than routine sequence
manipulation efforts, the biggest CPU drain may be that we may get to a
point where we want to BLAST 100-200 short sequences each day.

I'm not looking for exhaustive answers - just starting points.
