With release 47 of EMBL, the section pri (primates) has been suppressed.
The human sequences have been placed in hum, while non-human primates
have been moved to the mam (other mammals) section. GenBank however
still uses the pri section. Now, if you maintain a nonredundant EMBL +
GenBank databank under GCG, this poses some problem (not unlike that
with the or and st sections).
Now, evidently there should be under GCG a em_hu and a gb_pr section.
But how to group them in pharms in a non-misleading way ? Maybe the only
thing to do is put em_hu in hu and gb_pr in pr (just as for em_or and
gb_st). And should we use hum, hu or hs ? Anyone a suggestion ?
